ABOUT US

The H&H Fauser Institute is a non-governmental organization that has for purpose the promotion of the sustainable development, the conservation of the environment, the promotion of the culture and the conservation of historical, artistic and cultural heritage.
Its purpose is set in straight actions as plans of education and development of studies and researches in its field of work and through support to the actions of other communities, other NOGs and of Public Organs.
Its headquarters is located in the Municipal District of Paraibuna (São Paulo state), integrant of the Biosphere Reserves of the Atlantic Rain Forest (Reservas da Biosfera da Mata Atlântica -RBCV) and the Green Belt of the City of São Paulo.

OUR YOUTH PROGRAM

The Youth Program - Environment and Social Inclusion (PJ-MAIS in its Portuguese abbreviation) is a program for education and integral formation of ecologists for the Biosphere Reserve of the Green Belt of the City of São Paulo. It enables young persons between 15 and 21 years of age, inhabitants of peri-urbanes zones and the spread protected areas of the RBCV for the market of environment or ecomarket (market for eco-friendly products).
The proposal of the PJ-MAIS integrates the necessity of economical sustainability of young persons in socio-economical unfavorable situation with the preservation and environmental recuperation, changing attitudes and paradigm regarding its environment and improving the quality of life of the involved communities.
The Institute H&H; Fauser established partnership with the Reserve of the Biosphere of the Cinturão Verde of the City of São Paulo, with the Municipality of Paraibuna for the introduction of the Ecologistic Education Center (NEE in its Portuguese abbreviation) of Paraibuna, which will enable yearly 30 young persons in social risk situation and promote a local ecomarket.

PROJECT CAMBUCI

Cambuci The Project is a Cambuci Local Productive Arrangement (APL) organized around the productive chain of Cambuci (Campomanesia phaea), a fruit-tree of the Atlantic rain-forest, endemic on the highland. Besides the institute H&H Fauser, are involved in the project the cooperative Cooper Cambucy da Serra (Rio Grande da Serra/SP), the information centers of the agriculture-ministry of the state São Paulo for Paraibuna and Natividade da Serra and the hydraulic power-plant of Paraibuna. Conversations exist over participation of two universities of the Vale do Paraíba.

PROJECT PISCICULTURE IN THE PARAIBUNA DAM

Thanks to the worry of one of the teenagers of the first course of the PJ-MAIS because of illegal haul during the close season, the fish-in-the-dam project is a Local Productive Arrangement (APL) organized around the production chain from the creation of fish in the reservoir of Paraibuna in the net-enclosure-system. The goal is the selection of the best location for the deployment of a fish farm in the Paraibuna reservoir and its ability to support, also to develop an alternative, economically viable, for fishermen during the closure in the dam and the organization of production and marketing locations. There are involved in the project, besides the Institute H&H Fauser, the power of hydropower Paraibuna and the information centers of the agriculture-ministry of the state São Paulo for Paraibuna and Natividade da Serra. Also, it is tried to interest the university UNIVAP in a cooperation.
